Default Moving Emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,

Quick question just starting out supporting a BES server. I have a user who is moving emails from her inbox on exchange (Exchange 2003) to a PST folder on you workstation.

Once the email has been moved it's not removed from the inbox on the BlackBerry device. Is this normal? I would assume not.

I am still waiting for a test device so i can not test here.

Cheers

Craig.

Wirelessly posted (Breaking Ball)

By default, BES knows nothing of PST files, so it doesn't really know that the message should be removed from the device. It's not seeing it as a deleted message.

To work around this, you could try enabling 'Hard Delete Reconciliation' on the BES.

It's a setting in the Messaging section within BES server properties.
