Default Is Outlook required to be installed for BPS on the Exchange Server? - 07-05-2008, 03:35 AM

I tried installing Blackberyr Professional on my Exchange Server but BPS cannot seem to find the Exchange Server even though both reside on the same server?

So forums threads sugges installing a MAPI/CODI application which, when I download, says Outlook is required for it tow ork.

A bit confused!

There is a MAPI/CDO client available from Microsoft. DO NOT install Outlook on your Exchange Server, EVER!

The version of MAPI included with Outlook is not able to handle server type requests.

Now now Mr. gibson ... You can install Outlook on your Exchange 2007 server and still be supported ... but, if you're installing BPS on your Exchange server too, then you'd be a fool to install Outlook too.
