Default sync of "past" calendar items?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BES v. 4.1.5.24 for Exchange 2003.

I have my 1st users on and it seems to be "forwarding" items just fine.

... but... my user wants to see "past" calendar items... appointments from last week, and all "non new" calendar items comming up...

It is only showing "new calendar" items added to his calendar since BES/Device activation.

any ideas appreciated!

Question for you JLH-

Just curious-Did the defualt behavior for calendar items cited by the article x14 referenced not occur? Or was the user wanting Calendar entries beyond 30 day default?

I believe they just "were not there" after I did the sync on the BES , "all was well" with the world.

I don't have a device yet, I'm just the BES admin, supporting 2 VP-level folks with them... (so far) ... LOL

Today there was a different "emergant setting change" that was needed. That was another set of online reference work... LOL

I've seen several threads about how to keep all old appointments while using wireless synch. I think I found what works. These two knowledgebase articles from blackberry seem to nail it. One explains why it happens in the first place, the second is how to deal with it. The only thing I'd add is that AFTER you turn the wireless synch off, and BEFORE you synch with Outlook using the desktop manager, change the setting to "import" and check the "refresh" option. After that finishes, then turn the wireless synch back on.

I may be creating a memory problem on the device, but we'll have to wait and see.
