Default Auto BCC on BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, Were running BES 4.1.5 and i would like to know is there a way for someone to auto bcc themselves everytime they compose an email on their blackberry. I know you can create that rule in outlook and on the BIS side but not on the BES. If you guys know please let me know.

Thanks

You can do this on a per-server basis:

Server Properties > Messaging > Auto BCC Addresses

... but to do this you'd need to setup a rule on Exchange. Perhaps have the person tag their BES signature with something that you can create a rule on to BCC.

What is the goal of having this function? Perhaps there are other ways to accomplish the same thing.

basically its some of our users just want to look in one place for their messages. Rather than looking in their sent items. I saw that you can do it on a per server basis as you said, but then it will do it for all users on the server. Correct?

What do they do for Outlook? Are they just looking for a place to find all of their messages they've sent from their BlackBerry?

Yes, correct. ... and it would send it all to the same location.

For outlook they created a rule in their mailbox to auto bcc them whenever they send an email.

Wow ...

Well, you're looking for a technological solution to an odd behavior (I would call it a problem) ... I know of no effective solution for this.
