The functionality is there, but it isn't enabled on RIMs side. Some magic switch needs to be flipped.

Also if you bump up the MNGR log in BES 4.1.5 you will see the following:

[60000] (07/09 14:29:30.013):{0x149C} OTASLConfigParameters:
<HandheldSoftwarePath>:
[60000] (07/09 14:28:30.013):{0x149C} <OTASLLastRefreshTime>: 1215605813
[60000] (07/09 14:28:30.013):{0x149C} <OTASLRefreshInterval>: 86400
[60000] (07/09 14:28:30.013):{0x149C} <OTASLPASUrl>: https://%s.otasl.blackberry.com/pas/pas
[60000] (07/09 14:28:30.013):{0x149C} [OTASLRefresh] No changed information for OTASL Upgrade refresh

So again they have not turned the switch on

Seems like RIM removed it from SP6 again.

found info:
http://blackberrycool.com/wp-content...1/slide_10.jpg

On the BlackBerry device itself there are application modules called "rim_bb_otasl_app" and "rim_bb_otasl_channel" and "rim_ota_upgrade". These seem to be the client-side upgrade tools.

In the BESMgmt database is see the following intresting tables:
dbo.DSUPAvailable
dso.DSUPBundleInfo
dso.DSUPDefaults

They are for sure used to storage device update package information

The feature has not been enabled by RIM yet.
Even if you had that option, you couldn't use it anyway.

I changed mine in the registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logging Info\Manager

DebugLogLevel to Hex = 6

Anyone know if it's on?

RIM has a new KB article about it:
