Default Moving Handsets from one exchange server...

Please Login to Remove!

I've had a quick look in the exsisting forums but I havent found what I'm looking for, if this is a common question I'm sorry I've done a repost.

The job I have been handed is we have a company with an exsisting Bes enterprise server (7.1) and hey have just taken over another company. This company also has a BES server but obviously on a different domain.

First question .. the BES server and all the other servers from the new place are going to be added/changed to the main domain...can you have two BES servers running on the same domain and connected to the same exchange?

Second question(obviously depending on the first question) Can you import the Blackberries from the recently acquired domain into the main domain?

Regards,

Wnuts

You can have 2 BES on same domain sharing same data base.

As for moving, will have to wait for others to answer

What is your current set up? Are you using SQL Server or MDSE?

For changing the users from the new domain to your domain, you will need to re-activate the users you are bringing over. You will need to connect the new server to your existing Blackberry database - assuming you are using SQL Server.

If it was me doing the move, I wouldn't use the newly acquired BES, but would build a new server from scratch using that SRP and pointing to a shared SQL Server database with your existing BES.
