I've put SP6 on test, but I see no reason to put it on production, until AT&T releases device software 4.5. We're 95% AT&T.

I've sneaked a copy for my test device (an unlocked T-Mobile 8320), from Orange UK. I'm in Seattle by the way.

I like the new features! Sadly, I have no confidence in AT&T updating to 4.5 anytime too soon.

correction, after showing my IT manager the vulnerability, he made the call to do an immediate upgrade. I'm prepping for the upgrade and will be installing SP6 within 15 minutes or so.

Applied the initial work around of disabling PDFs and waiting to see who whines. Only 9 users.

Yes it does and is easier than doing the workaround.

I have no choice with my 2 servers. I am under the gun from the Army to do or else have them shut off for non-compliance.

We wanted to move to SP5 anyway so this will just give us that plus the security against this particular exploit.

I'm having to go from 4.1.3 to 4.1.6 - quite a jump. Any tips or tricks would be fab

p.s. I voted for nothing, as cannot patch 4.1.3 and am planning 4.1.6. In the interim, have disabled PDFs as per RIM doc. They'll still have access to them in notes.
