Default BES 4.1 SP5 - Wireless Reconcile slow? - 07-23-2008, 03:26 PM

Hi Guys ...

Has anyone noticed the Outlook --- > Blackberry reconcile is slower? I did some tests today and it's actually taking longer then 20 mins. Nothing on the servers has changed and we track CPU/Memory etc and they are not really working any harder. Blackberry --- > Outlook is almost instantly.

If I force the reconcile with 'Reconcile Now' it works as well the 'Purge Deleted so I'm not sure what else to check out?

We just went to SP5 over the weekend. I've noticed the same thing in some areas. I've noticed it with deletions and read/unread, but not new message delivery.

I've noticed the Outlook --- > Blackberry reconcile is taking up to 30 minutes for me? Blackberry --- > Outlook is almost instantly reconciling for me as well. I am also testing Exchange 2003/Outlook 2007 cached mode in the same time frame as the upgrade to 4.1.5, and am seeing sync errors all the time in the Outlook/Sync Issues folder. Related? Hmmm.

Well I'm updating production to SP 6 this weekend so I will be testing it and let you know if it's resolved or not.

Those who also experience this issue in 4.1.5, have you installed MR1 and/or the PDF patch yet? I believe we are scheduled to do this over the weekend. I wonder if one or the other may fix this issue.

I'll be awaiting your SP6 report, Jeff.

Message State Database Size
is it set to 100?

Try increasing it to like 200 or 300 and see if it improves.

I have NO , but my kids do
