I am testing a Bold (OS 4.6) on my 4.1.6 servers and I cannot get the free\busy lookup stuff to work. I choose view availability, I then see a status of "requesting data" and then the time lines go black and I see a status of "data unavailable". I ensured that the feature was enabled on my servers. Did I misss some other configuration setting? Mail environment: Exchange 2003 sp 2
In our exchange environment, we publish 2 months of free busy time. In my test, I am inviting one other person to a test meeting for the afternoon of the day I am running the test on.
Spotted this post from a few weeks back and wonder if anyone has made any headway.
Specifically I have the problem when looking up F/B info for recipients hosted in a different E2K3 Admin Group to my own Mbx. Lookups to recipients in my own AG work just fine (i.e. availability data is shown accurately on my device). There are no known issues using OL client so I don't believe this to be an issue with the Exchange F/B folder infrastructure.
Looking at the MAGT log I see the following entry:
Received Cancel User Availability request: ErrorCode=3, TransactionId=39
Does anyone else see the same?
I have reported this to RIM some weeks ago and I'm told the behaiviour has been replicated there and that the ticket has been escalated internally. I'll post up any further info I receive.
Indeed - E2K7 can be very different in this regard.
Like Conniet however, my problems are in the E2K3 world, and on devices such as 8820 and 8320 running with Orange UK 4.5 (no Bold exotica has fallen onto my desk yet )
FYI: confirmed this issue is fixed in SP6 MR1 by SDR179314, even though the documentation states this bug affected mixed E2K3 / E2K7 environments only. RIM have changed their use of the GetFreeBusyFolder function which appears to have improved the handling of multiple FreeBusy folders (and their replicas) within the E2K3 org.
I now find attendee availability works well in most cases although there is the occassional failure to retrieve data, which can be fixed by using the Refresh function.
