Default Migrate BES server between domains in same AD Forest

Please Login to Remove!

We have a BES server in a resource domain. The Exchange server & users are in account domain.

Now the management has decided to shut down the resource domain & migrate all servers / applications to account domain.

Please let me know the procedure for migrating the BES server from domain-A to domain-B, with all users & config settings intact.

We are running BES Ver 4.0.1.16 with SQL database on same server & no IT policies.

Also, please share if there are any best practices & field experiences of this sort.

Thanks in advance!!

If your users are in the same Exchange organization then you should be fine... If you have to move to a differnet Exchange org then you will need to wipe all of your HH's and re-active them.

I have a similiar question.

I need to upgrade some SBS Server 2003 hardware. I'm planning to install new AD domain and use a different Netbios name for the server. Will I have any issues moving the BES server into the new domain / or problems with BES looking for the old exchange netbios name. Thanks.
