Default BES vs. BPSE with Exchange 2007 SP1

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All first time posting and love the site.

I just launched Exchange 2007 SP1 two weeks ago and things are going great. I have one user (CEO) that is on a Blackberry Curve 8310 and I'd like to get him setup right as opposed to the current POP3 setup he has right now. A sales person at Blackberry suggested I download and use Blackberry Professional Software Express for my one user as opposed to using BES. I'm also trying to avoid the cost of the BES software for just one user too.

Does anyone have any experience on this version of software? Is it just the "free" and stripped down version of BES? Also, I'm assuming that just like BES - it does not run on the 64 bit OS as Exchange 2007 does? I would have to run it on another desktop or server?

Thank you in advanced for your help and direction.

Yse it is free for one user, its not really stripped version can support 30 users. Does all except for some MDS stuff. If its for email and not apps then you will have no issues.

Not sure about 64 bit install.
