Drive Space Requirements for 4.1.2 to SP6?

I have a VM server with very limited drive space from a previous admin (1GB of free space). I have a lot going on and do not want to have to worry about doing a cutover to a new server and was wondering how much space I can assume this update will use?

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help. I read the upgrade guide and it mentioned everything else but drive space requirements (at least i didnt see it)

My Bes has SP6 total drive space used 15.4 GB Server 2003 R2 SP2 all updates installed. What do you have?
Also if its a VM server, cant you give the partition more space?

Unforuantely adding drive space to a VM is not that simple (at least as far as i know). Think of it like any other partition. You would need to repartition the drive with something like partition magic. For that, i would much rather just rebuild the server as to not run the risks.

I also have 2003 server (not R2) with SP2 and all updates with just BES installed and my total drive space is 10GB (sad i know.. not sure why it would have EVER been setup so darn lean :( )

Anyone else have any experience with how much space the SP6 install took up?

My vmteam at work can increase the size of our vm's in like 20 mintutes. by default we only get 12 gigs for our "standard image" but if you need more you need to make sure you have no snapshots and they have some kind of utility to do it for us. works like a champ!

Any chance you can find out roughly what is done? I would be interested on how this is done as this could help me out a bunch

I asked them and they provided me this link:
Increase the size of a virtual disk on ESX | VM /ETC
