Default BES - Email Address Issue

Please Login to Remove!

When I create a new user on the BES it automatically takes the users first SMTP address from AD rather then the default one.

How can I manually change the email address assigned via BES?

Is the BES using an alias or the primary SMTP address for the user? I don't think you can change it, not in the BB Manager anyways. Maybe a DB hack would fix it but I would be careful doing that.

Also make sure that your default SMTP address is the proper one. If not then you may need to make a change to your Recipient Update Service Policies.

BES users the primary address by default. BES also users what it is being presented by exchange (loose statement), so at times, not the norm, it will reflect an alias. This, depending on the arcive pack you have can be corrected by performing a 'Reload User' this a menu option against each user. Right click user and Reload User. This has in all cases I have used to will adjust the email address to the Primary SMTP address.
