I get a message telling me I cant add any users to my bes Because I dont have enough license.

How do I check how much my licenses can hold so I can report back on what we need to have?

PS I looked at domains/global/accounts/licence manager and it had for things listed. Each with the number 10 in the next column.

Does this mean 40?

The bottom of that dialogue will tell you how many licenses you have and how many free there are.

I dont see anything on the licensee manager dialog box other then the two 10's in the columns next to it.

I see a window like it but I don't have the status part. I'm running version 4.0.7.8.

Oh, well that would have been good to know earlier.

I haven't used BES 4.0 in years... so I can't remember how you check license usage in that version. Sorry.

1. Open the BlackBerry Manager
2. Right-click on BlackBerry Manager
3. Click Properties
4. Go to the License tab

This should tell you how many are used and how many are free. If not, send us a screenshot of what you are seeing. How many users do you have currently? You said that you are seeing 10 in 2 columns. Sounds like you have used up your 10 CAL's, or you may have 20 used up.

I see no black berry manager to left click on.

In your BB Manager you will see your BES on the left. You should see BlackBerry Manager above your BES. If not, post a screenshot of your BB Manager.

I also cant right click on any of the things in the left pane.

Are you sure this is BES 4.0? Check Help>About again and make sure that you have opened the BlackBerry Manager and not the Handheld Configuration Utility.

If this is BES 4.0, then my previous instructions are correct. If it is BES 4.1, then use these instructions:

1. Open the BlackBerry Manager
2. Click on BlackBerry Domain
3. In the Tasks area, click License Management under the Account heading

So, if these are wrong you are looking at the wrong Manager or it's screwed up.
