Default Blackberry Manager not showing option to install

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

Need some help with hopefully an easy question. I need to Blackberry Manager on a PC for remote management. I have the BESn 4.1.4 and the upgrade to 4.1.5. I'm running Domino 8 on my PC. When going to install the Blackberry Manager, I don't have the option in the list. Any idea on why this is so? I was thinking maybe cause its 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 needs to be installed to support Domino 8. If this is the case then I will have to call RIM to get access to the full install of 4.1.5.

Thanks for the help.

I'm a little unclear about your question but you need to have the Lotus Notes client installed and configured inorder to install the BlackBerry Manager.

Basically, I have Lotus Notes 8 installed on a secondary computer. I'm reinstalling the Blackberry Manager on this computer. I have the BESN 4.1.4 installer which is the full install with Service Pack 4. My server is on BES 4.1.5 so I also have the service pack 5 upgrade. When I run the installer, it has all the options to install everything like the Blackberry Router and Attachment Services but no Blackberry Manager option. Could it be because that the 4.1.4 does not support Lotus Notes 8 and only 4.1.5 does?

Somewhere on this forum I have suffered and solved just this issue. The problem is that the BB install looks for specific registry keys, actually the v7 Notes install one. Don't know if its v7 it's looking for or just the fact it's not seeing a v8 one. The solution is this:

Close Notes client
Edit registry entry HKCU/Software/Lotus/Notes/8.0 to be 7.0
Install the BB Manager
Rename registry key back.

Nothing to do with 4.1.4.

here's the link, Unable to Install Blackberry Manager
