Exclamation What is the best monitoring tool for BES running Exch 2007?

Please Login to Remove!

After doing some searches here, I wanted to ask some feedback on what my peers think would be the best monitoring software out there for BES 4.1 and EXCH 2007?

This would be on the corporate level, multiple BES servers.

If you were me and the BES is as important as any other server in the environment, you would want to be pro-active, have an email delivered to you either via sms or to a central mail box, etc with all the good stuff.

I have seen Boxtone, NetIQ and a few others but have not formulated a good opinion as of yet.

In my usual case, I tend to just use SNMP monitoring or IP Based, etc but nowadays its becoming more critical.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

We just implemented Boxtone a few months ago and love it. Great tool for Helpdesk to Admins. We currently have 1 BES with about 600 users.

I would highly recommend Boxtone.

^^

I was at another company recently and they used Boxtone. It is very robust software and reports almost everything you could ever want.

I don't know how much it costs though, I wouldn't think it's very cheap.

I just spoke to this company: Concevium

BlackBerry North American Outage Detected by Conceivium's Monitoring Solution | Reuters

Their technique is installing an agent on every machine and monitors from a central console and seem to have more of a granular way of reporting but all use the same type of detection process of snmp.

The good part, they charge per server not per user.

No agents with Boxtone, just share out your BB logs to a service account and thats it.
