Is there a way to push the setting "Delete On" under "Email Reconciliation" through an IT Policy?

We would like to make sure all our BB users have their deleted mails being deleted on the handheld and the mailbox.

Will be interested in this, as for some reasons all of our devices under the reconciliation have reverted back to device wins.

Our problem is related. A lot of our devices have reverted back to 'Handheld' instead of 'Mailbox & Handheld' without any reason.

No, you can't control those settings. Nor should you, in my opinion.
Managing email messages is something that should be left up to the user... not the admin.

I get calls all day long from users who can't figure out why they del emails from their desktop and they still show on their BB. I'd find it usefull to have the option to set these, even if you left it open for the user to change them back.

I invite you to spend one day at our helpdesk. I'm sure it might influence your opinion.

You're generalising your own situation. Not every company has the means to do that so let's just stick to the technical question.

It's just a shame that we don't get the OPTION/CHOICE to control these settings when you know it can be done easily with IT policies.

I'm not trying to argue with you.
It is what it is... you can't control those setting from BES via IT Policy.
What you call a shame, I call sensible.

I have plenty of users who do not want their devices to stay in sync with their Outlook account (for whatever reason). They read stuff on their BB and then delete it - and don't want the message deleted from Outlook.

Personally, I wouldn't want to manage this from a BES perspective. Blech.
