I have had a BB Enterprise server (Windows 2003 R2, Exchange Server 2003, BB Enterprise 4.1.4.2) with one phone attached for several months. It is a 4.1.4.2 server that has run flawlessly for at least 8 months. Whether it was my phone or Outlook, they were always completely in synch within seconds. Lately, it has not been reconciling correctly. I always get new e-mails on my device from the Exchange server, but the fact that I have read/deleted them is never reflected in Outlook or on the phone. If I restart the services, it will work for a while and then just stop reconciling. I have tried resending the IT policy to my device and resending the service book. The same thing happens ... it works for a few hours and then stops reconciling.

I have made no changes to the server aside from regular critical Microsoft updates.

Has anyone else had any issues? I depend on this thing and it is driving me nuts.

If you are deleting the messages are you empting your Deleted Items? If you deleted your deleted items and do not have Reconcile Hard Deletes on the BES set then you could get mismatch between the BB and Outlook. Also, when your BB is out of sync have you check to see if it catches up if you choose Reconcile Now from the BB?

Thanks for the response. If I do a Reconcile Now from the device, nothing changes. Items I have read in Outlook stay unread on my device or vice versa. I never do a shift delete in Outlook and I do retain my deleted items for an extended period of time. I do have Reconcile Hard Deletes enabled on the server.

As I sit here testing it, it began reconciling again, but only for messages I am testing with right now. In the window of time where it wasn't working today, those messages remain in my device as unread even though they have been read and deleted in Outlook. I hope I explained that well enough.
