Unhappy It's easy and safe to migrate from MSDE 7 to MSDE 2000

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I'm a new BES user. I want (my boss) to migrate from the BES 3.6.2 to 4.0.
Prior that, I must migrate MSDE 7 to MSDE 2000.
This migration works at 100%?
Did you have any remarks, suggestions about this step?
I have backuped the BESMgmt.mdf database for information.

Thanks a lot for your assistance

Do you use IT Policy? If not, just start over from scratch on the database. The only reason to migrate a database to 4.0 from 3.6, in my personal opinion, is to keep IT Policy intact. If you don't use them, or if you haven't added a new one or changed Default, then there's no need to go through the tedious upgrade process.
