Question Meeting Requests not appearing on Blackberry Handhelds

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. I haven't seen any solutions for this yet although a few people have posted similar issues.

I am running BES 4 on Win 2003 standard server using an Exchange 2003 Enterprise SP1 server. We are using predominantly BB 7290s.

The CDO.DLL version on the BES and Exchange servers is: 6.5.7226

When someone sends any of our blackberry users a meeting request it is not presented to the blackberry it only appears in Outlook/OWA.

We are not running the desktop software on anyones PC, we wirelessly activate and redirect to blackberry handhelds.

All other aspects of redirection are working fine. Mail is flowing correctly, contacts and appointments are synchronising as expected.

Has anyone resolved a similar issue?

Thanks!

Lee

1. I did not have the CDO.DLL in the C:\windows\system32 folder? I read doics incorrectly and thought it was ok to have the file in C:\program files\EXCHANGESERVER.

2. The Backberry service account had domain admin and exchange admin permissions. It should not be a member of these groups There are specific permissions the service account should have.

Local Administrator groups on the BES Server
Exchange View Only over Organisation/Admin Group
Plus "Send As, Receive As, Administer Information Store" permissions over each server which has Blackberry enabled mailboxes.

Default Having the same meeting request problem not showing on BB

Working on a SBS 2003 server SP1 Exchange SP2 build 7638.2 with BES 4.1.2 curious about the CDO.DLL mine is located in the C:\Program Files\Exchngsrvr\bin folder not in the C:\Windows\System32 should it be copied or moved from the C:\Program Files\Exchngsrvr to c:\Windows\system32 folder? Could you direct me to the documentation that talks about the CDO.DLL location? Hate to break my Exchange server trying to fix a small issue that only deals with BlackBerry devices and meeting requests showing on hand held. Though it bothers me that it doesn't work, and it should. But just as you stated everything else seems to be working well.

Thanks

Any solid solution to this? We're seeing the same problem. No meeting request are being redirected to the Blackberrys who's mailboxes live on our Exchange 2007 server.

This still works for people who have mailboxes on the Exchange 2003 server

We had the same problem with meeting request not redirecting after migrating to Exchange 2007. Everything else worked accecpt this..

All we had to do was give the BES service account "recieve as" permission to the new Exchange 2007 DB's
