Hi,

I'm trying to push a custom application to devices on our 4.0 BES.
I have read through the Handheld Configuration Tool Manual to see how to create softwate configurations and have followed the instructions step-by-step. I can create the configurations and assign them to a user but the application never gets pushed. The log file for the policy service says:

Not specified for wireless delivery, package "MyApp" is discarded.

BUT... In the software configuration window, I select "Wireless" for the delivery and the xml data for the config also has Wireless in it. So, where is this message coming from? Is there another delivery setting somewhere that I'm not setting? I've tried to push applcations for ages and they never seem to work - so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having a similar problem but mine is not a custom app. I'm trying to deploy Berry411. I have it setup the same as two other apps that I did successfully deploy wirelessly. I'm interested to here if you find a solution and I will post also if I find a solution.

Has anyone successfully deployed berry411 wirelessly?

Just thought I'd say that I got it working by restarting all the BES services.

We're working through wireless deployment issues with support right now. We've had really mixed results, and not enough success to make me confident I can do a large-scale wireless push of an app.

The main problem we see is messages in the POLC log indicating that "request has already been queued" for a particular user. It seems like a failed wireless deploy will result in subsequent deploys failing. There is a Known Issue KB doc on this particular situation.
