Im not the BES administrator. I'm becoming his backup. Everynight the mobile data service stops responding. My HH is unable to use the browser or anything else that needs this service. Every morning I just stop the service and restart it and it runs fine all day. I know the 220.127.116.11 version is pretty old; but, currently the admin doesn't have time or plans to upgrade for months.
Is this a known issue ? Where can I find a list of known issues if there is one ? Does anyone have a solution for this ?
if its multiple sources, and if you do not have the MDS configured to use a proxy (and the proxy server is what is down), then i'd say its the MDS. let's just say that the MDS services, even in 4.0, have been known to have issues. i'd check the application logs (in event viewer) to see if its reporting any issues. with BES 4.0, the MDS service has a memory leak. the patch for it has been available on the partners site for a few weeks, but not yet to the general public, unfortunately.
