Default Ohhhh, Uncaught Exception...

Please Login to Remove!

Uncaught Exception: Process net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(328) killed due to message queue overflow.

This happens randomly a lot to this user on our BES, and when he tried to compose an email, the blackberry jams itself on the compose icon, and does nothing, force a shutdown, and it doesnt shut down, you have to press the button when it says "shutting down press any button to abort"

Currently this is the only user on our BES experiencing this problem, I will shortly be resending the IT Policy, and re-registering him on the network in an attempt to see if this resolves it, I will update you if it does

How large is this address book - ive seen some wierd stuff when people expect to cram a few thousand contacts in it (ive seen it work just fine too)

Atleast 7-8 thousand contacts, he "needed" our companies clients, and the entire employee's list.

So now its locking on the address book as well, and would waaaaay to many contacts create that error for sure?

When attempting to compose, it locks up all the time as well.

Message Queue overflow certainly sounds like too much to me but I can't say for sure. Make a backup, clear the address book and does it still happen?

Employee list on it too? like the GAL? If he wants the GAL he should be using Lookup and not storing all those names on the handheld. Maybe clearning just those will help.

He has the GAL, and all our public folders.

So I will remove the pub. folders, and check it out thanks a lot.
