Ok. Help. I have migrated the BES 4.0 server to a new domain and now I am re-installing it. I completly removed MSDE and BES, rebooted, and reinstalled it. Everything installs fine, except when I try to open the Blackberry Manager it give me the dreaded Can't connect to database error. I have gone into MSDE and enabled TCP/IP and Named Pipes protocols also.

Anyone got any ideas?

I take it you didn't accidently remove the BESMgmt Database as part of your MSDE uninstall?

From a Command Prompt verify you can do the following:

-> osql -E
-> use database BESMgmt
-> Go

Also make sure that TCP/IP (for MSDE) is set to use the default port of 1433.

nevermind. I think I figured out what you meant.

Use <enter>
database besmgmt <enter>
