Default Backing Up before service pack 2 upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

we run a BES 4.0 server (no service packs have been applied yet) with a Microsoft Exchange server.

What do I need to back up, in case things go bad so I can restore later.

I've used the blackberrydbbackup utility to backup the MDSE database (what information is held here?)

I know that the Exchange server gets backed up on a brick level basis (so the blackbery folders are backed up)

Do I still need to run BlackBerryBackup? What does this do.
What do I need to fully back up before I upgrade?

Thank you,

Phil.

Default

backup the database. You can backup the server and restore if you want, but it would probably be quicker to re-install BES+SP1 and re-attach it to the backed up database instead.
