Default BlackBerry Browser vs Internet Browser

Please Login to Remove!

We have an IT Policy that allows the carrier browser (Internet Browser) plus we have the MDS Browser from our BES (BES Browser). The end result is I have two browser icons on my screen. If I go to the "BES Browser" I can browse the web on my internal network as designed.... however, we block via websense. If I want to browse via the carrier, I've only found that I have to change the default browser to "Internet Browser" and then restart the browser.

Anyone know a way to change the icons to reflect as such so I don't have to keep changing the options?

We see 3 browers on the old devices (Vodafone live, Internet and Blackberry Browsers), I you goto settings, advanced, browser, you can change the browser settings there, to reflect which you use.

Just go to the Internet Browser if you want to surf using it. Also, after you set a bookmark you can edit it and set which browser it uses.

So you have the two Icons on the screen? What OS are you running on the device?
