Default Changing moblie provider and BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
This may not be the right forum, but anyway.
I currently have a blackberry on a BES plan with a push service from a server outside of my moblie carrier. Now I am about to change moblie service providers, and the new provider is telling me that I must also change my email server to them as well. Is this correct, it doesnt feel right to me as my current email service is not with my current moblie provider. Can anyone enlighten me on this.

BES doesn't care what mobile provider you use, aslong as you keep the same handset, it'll carry on as it was.

They're probably on about BIS, the internet service offered by the carrier, which would need to change as the old carrier would suspend the account with them.
