Default Deleting messages on handheld..

Please Login to Remove!

BES 4.0.2, Exchange 2k3 (cluster).

When my users delete a message on their handheld, it isn't deleting in their inbox (or marking it read).

Is this functionality available?

So you're saying that this is an option set on the handheld, and not the BES software? If that's the case, then that's probably it - just tell me where the option is.

Go into messages on the Blackberry, and press the thumbwheel on a date, not the message, but the actual date, and click options, and you should see an email reconsiliation, and set the delete on Mailbox and Handheld.

Default Delete option on BES itself???

I am working on BES 4.1.The device is synced with our Lotus Notes Mail servers.I have set the delete option on the blackberry to "HH and Mailbox".It's working fine. What I wanted to know was that is there any option on the BES itself ie setting it in the IT policy so that I don't require my users to set the "HH and Mailbox" option on the handheld??The policy itself should take care of the 2 way deletion??

Please let me know if you find out, I am tasked with doing the opposite.

You haven't given enough info but this might be something to look at: Template changes may break the capability to delete messages on 8100 and 8800 models. See KB11860 for more info.
