Post BES Administration Question

Please Login to Remove!

We are running BES 3.6.2.14 on Exchange 5.5 (NT4 domain). I'm trying to set up some of my service desk guys with the ability to add and remove users/devices to BES without them having to know the besadmin NT password, so they can't read other people email. Anyone know how to do this? TSupport said it can't be done. I would then tie down there BES console with setamdinkey.exe. Thanks in advance.

You could always just give them permissions to the BES admin mailbox w/o them knowing. Or you could simply add them the same permissions as the BES admin mailbox has on the Exchange server.

Thanks for the reply jibi. When testing this, I gave one of them permissions on the BES admin mailbox. They could then see all bb users in the BES admin console. But when I tried to add a new user, I received the message "Unable to open mailbox for user. The users's mailbox may have been deleted." Any ideas?

Try the UserAdmin Service.
