Default How to change Email address on BB device

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, everyone,
I am new to this forum. I have an issue need help

We are running BES 4.1.2.31 and Lotus Notes 7.0, 10 users. Our Email address have changed from @stackpole.com to @gates-on.com, internal Windows domain and Domino domain still use stackpole.corp, which means sending and receiving email within company still use xxxx xxxx/Stackpole,
Everything seems works fine, BB users can receive e-mail from outside when the recepient shows new e-mail account, but, when email sent out from BB still shows old @stackpole.com address, I have checked the setting on BlackBerry Manager, on the user properties, it shows new Email address.

I can't find any settings on BB device to change email address to new domain.

Can you guys please help.

Thank you very much

Jerry

Does the addressing work properly when using the notes client for outbound mail?

OP, without giving too much away, I know your company very well (LOL when I read your post!)... If you want to do some testing, PM me.

Also what is the full hierarchical naming convention?

Create a new email to a BB user in notes, hit F9 for full address

Is it User Name/Stackpole@Stackpole or is the domain after the @ something else?

Thank you for quick reply, Jadey,
1) Yes, the address works fine for all Notes users inbound and outbound.
2) It is User Name/Stackpole@stackpole.com

Are you working for X?

My personal e-mail is prcdiscover#gmail.com

Thanks again,
Jadey

Jerry

Hey, just removed that company name, hahahahaha. K. But yes, I do. Soz, bit hesitant of posting identifying data on net

Do you personally have a BB behaving in this way? That we can test with?

Also, in your person records, what is the config?

Is it JUST the internet address that references gates-on.com? i.e. What is the domain field - stackpole.com? Guess it must be, but want to be 100%

Domino BES Admins, end of day here (or getting there) and I need to disappear for a few hours, so if anyone else can help out with this, feel free to chip in!

DarthBBerry,
Thank you for your info.
Just as I said before, we were not change Domino Domain, just edit users internet address, according to your document, BB device sending address will always from the Primary address and in my case, it still the old address. There is no way to change that without change Domino domain( primary address)?

Thank you,

Jerry

Nope. We are going through the same type of thing. Example:
Old Address: [email address]
New Address: [email address]

It got changed on the Domino side with the new listed as the primary. All e-mails appear as if they come from @companyname.com. Plus, the old address is still associated so I will continue to get mail sent to that domain address.
