Default Peculiar BES activations

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

We're running BES 4.1.6 for Exchange on a Win2k3 box. SP6 has been installed but none of the MRs.

I'm noticing that some OTA BES activations will only take on the second attempt. First attempt, screen sits at the "Activating [email address]" for a long time. Given up after 5 or so minutes.

Second attempt device begins activation process within seconds. Everything works fine.

Now this doesn't happen for all the activations - maybe 30% of the time.

Anyone else experience this?

yes. I have a hard time activating most of the time. Usually takes me 2 or 3 tries.
on a secondary note I wonder if right now rim is having issues as for the first time ever during an activation I got a pop saying a certificate was expired, viewing the certificate it was for a rim host. weird.

Are these wiped and OS upgraded phones?

I dont see that issue much, unless the phone is reused and the pin is still in dbo.ITAdminQueue. This usually has a otakeygen issue in server log too.
