BB Professional License Limit I have BB professional (free download) with a single user license. It is currently married to a BB Curve 8300 device. I am considering upgrading the BB to a new 3g model as they come down in price. Assuming it is a substitution rather than addition of a new device, can I still use my single user license for the new device? Is there a "how to" somewhere that shows how to reconfigure the BES/professional software to marry the new device? Thanks much. JLS |
Yes. Launch BB Manager on the server and set a new EA password and then use that password to activate for the device. |
Hey legalkix, The licences aren't attached to the device it's self, more of just a simple count of how many devices you can have on your BES at any one time, so like hdawg said, just set a new activation password on the BES, and start the wireless activation process on your new BB! Any issues, let us know and we'll see if we can help more! |
That Curve PIN you register for BPS to get 1 cal, not dedicate to your Curve. But that curve PIN cannot use again to register to get 1 cal for BPS. |
And, if you get a new device, dont forget to get a new CAL for this one, Even, if you dont need it now, 2 Cals are better then one. |
