Default 4.0 enterprise activation "retrying"

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to do an enterprise activation, the device sits at the screen and displays "retrying". It has been in this state for almost an hour.
What causes this issue. We have had some users that activate immediatley and are complete in 10 minutes, others take forever.......
Any advice?

chances are the ETP message being sent from the Relay to your exchange server isn't making it... you need to make sure that email gets to your BES server.

the could be couple of reasons being ETP services are not provisioned for the BB, you might want to check also spam or antivirus software that are removing or blocking the activation messages to user mailbox

or your password is wrong, mistyped...or the RIM Relay message does not arrive in mailbox

try registering it via the host routing table. otherwise try to remove the user from BES, wipe the device, restart the dispatcher & synchronise services. run handheldcleanup -u.

Add the user and reactivate the device and see what happens - this is how I managed to get one of mine to work

All the suggestions above are correct. Also we just had this one....make sure with the wireless carrier that your device has a data service associated with it. Just happened to me yesterday and it took me forever to come to that conclusion.
