Exclamation Refreshing Asset Summary data on BES

Please Login to Remove!

After searching around, I can't find an answer to the following:

How do I force the BES to go out to any specified device (or devices) and repopulate the asset summary data, ie. Device Model, IMEI, Phone number, SIM ID etc.

Also, is it correct that devices prior to the 8100 Pearl did nor report details such as Phone Number 100% accurately (assuming I've inserted the correct phone number on to the SIM settting on the device itself)?

Personally I resend the Service Books form the console and leave it for a while.

Some asset information are only populated during Enterprise Activation.

I don't think it was device related. I have a 7.0.3 Domino 4.1.6 BES, with all handhelds on minimum 4.1 SW, up to 4.6.
I STILL have issues with phone numbers etc., not reporting.

This could be useful

Incomplete Columns in BB Manager

SIM ID not being reported

Yeah I have always had phone number issues as well but thought it was down to the carrier(s).

I've also found that if you make and receive a call on the device, resend the Desktop [Sync] service book, your data populates. I have 4 devices that absolutely refuse to report back correctly. Granted, they are all older IDEN Nextel devices. (Guess that explains it, huh?)

I have weird phone number issues - some are blank, some report the same phone number as another BB (and thus not the correct number).

That's a carrier issue where the SIM is not reporting the correct number back. You need to get the carrier to reset the SIM ID for reporting; it should come back correct one they do that. Yet another feature offered by Nextel.
