Default Message filtering

We recently had a user get a new corporate device and registered on our BES. He gets quite a few internal emails, but also gets lot of messages that come in externally.

He wants to get only certain emails delivered to his inbox, and has been creating a do not forward filter for each of the messages.

Is it possible to create a broader filter that said do not forward all messages except if they are from an approved address?

Welcome to the forums.

I've never tried this, but it may work.

From the device, go to Options > Security Options > Firewall. In there you can block all messages except from a specific address. Press the Menu key and select configure exceptions, then press the menu key and select add email address.

Like I said, I haven't used this and I am not sure if it will work, maybe mess around with it and see if it foes what you want.

I am sure others will have suggestions as well.
