Default Meeting invite messages show up as regular messages

I hope this is a dumb question, but I've got one user in our environment who is complaining that calendar invite messages just show up with the regular message icon, instead of the two little guys. He's one of the only people using an 8800, so maybe that's just not something this device does, but if not, could it be an exchange issue?
