Default Up to 1 Hour to reconcile Read/Unread Marks? Normal?

Please Login to Remove!

Here is RIM's doc on read/unread marks reconciliation:

BlackBerry smartphone based on Javaź: wireless email reconciliation is automatically performed every 3 to 5 minutes, or when the number of items to be reconciled reaches 100. If the BlackBerry smartphone is idle, reconciliation occurs at random intervals.

Now here is our testing results:

Test involves sending an email and opening it up on the desktop client and waiting for the blackberry copy to update it's status to read. Below are sample tests conducted indicating the time the email was opened on the desktop and the subsequent status update on the Blackberry.

Opened on Desktop 10:34AM - Updated on Blackberry 10:50AM
Opened on Desktop 10:57AM - Updated on Blackberry 11:52AM
Opened on Desktop 11:50AM - Updated on Blackberry 12:40PM

Why is it taking up to an hour to update unread marks on the device?

Go to wwwdotport 3101dotorg(minus the space and replace the dot with a .) Look in the BESAdmin forum. I have a post there about reconciliation that should shed some light on this for you.
