Red face BES and Exchange 2003 on the same server

Please Login to Remove!
Hello, I have BES 4.1.4 installed on the same server as Exchange 2003 SP2. I have received an upgrade to 4.1.6 and additional users from my provider. Is it advisable to just upgrade the BES where is it or separate it from Exchange? I am planning on upgrading Exchange later this year and will be moving it to a new server at that time.

If beyond 30 users it might be a good time to do so.

I have licenses for 30 users, however will not have that many initially, so should be alright on the same server for now?

Why?

does that mean it wont work?
Ive across a couple of working instances that appeared to working fine.

The latest one I came across a few months ago was SBE BES 4.1.4 on Exch 2003 with 10 users, working since 2007.

Default BPS on Exchange Server
I have also installed the BPS express on an Exchange Server but I have not yet gotten it to work. Should I unistall it from the Exchange server and install it on a different box? Would like to know before I use up my 1 free tech support call with RIM and they tell me to uninstall and try again.

No, the install went well. I followed the video's exactly, got the admin permissions correct, there are no issues with blocked ports, etc. The problem is the Enterprise Activation. After 20 or so minutes, it stops trying to activate and suggests contacting System Administrator.

Sounds like the wrong data plan.

There are two BI and BES, BES is more expensive and many times is not added correctly.
Almost every BESAdmin goes through it trying to get teh carrier to get it right
