| Desktop Manager Please Login to Remove! We use BES 4.1. Would you see any negative consequences for configuring desktop manager on our desktops for BIS even though we are using BES? The reason I ask is because when configuring desktop manager for BES, there are some annoying side effects like desktop manager sometimes corrupting the service books that were generated during the blackberry activation. Sometimes after a sync, users will no longer have the ability to reply to messages until the service books are deleted and then resend from the BES. The BIS desktop manager installation does not appear to modify any of the service books. Our users sync to a local Outlook PST file on their desktops, so they don't use wireless sync except for email and all we are using desktop manager for is to synchronize calendar and address book and occasionally back-up the device. Initial testing hasn't appeared to show any negative consequences, but I just wanted to see if anybody would consider it a bad idea.
Thanks. |
