BES - Admin controll
 

I have read that some people on BES can not install applications without going thru the admin / tech guy. Is this a standard or just an option on the admin side??

My tech guy is a ...........

If at somepoint we go to a BES, I just want to know if I have to deal with him to upgrade software, or install a browser, or some other 3rd party app. That will become painful!

All aspects of your BB can be controlled once it is connected to a BES.

Depends on if he sets it up as restictive or not.

Ask your admin what he intends to do.

Fortunately my tech guy has no clue about this forum, ergo I can trash him all day long!!

I think that answers my question, it CAN be set as restricted but does not have to be. This is still early in the game, now I just have to harness my jedi powers & convince him if / when we go to BES to atleast leave my BB ALONE!!!!!!

Why do you think this person is so bad? Thats what I want to know, and if your blackberry service and device is company paid for then you really are in no position to complain anyhow.

It has to be said that if your tech guy needs any assistance on the BES/BB stuff, and like to do it himself as opposed to being spoon fed by RIM/carrier support, then there is a very good chance he will end up here at some point, i know i did.
