Default BES and using Active Directory address field

Please Login to Remove!

When using our BES (4.1.6) to download user info from Windows Server 2003 Active Directory SP 2 and Exchange Server 2003 SP2, when using the address field in AD to put in our users home addresses, the BES when doing a lookup to find that info, shows it as a Work Address. It appears that AD doesn't designate a work or home address when adding that info. Is there a way to change the BES so it sees these addresses as work addresses?

Do you mean you are putting the users' home address in the standard address details fields in AD and you want the BB to say "Home Address" instead of "Work Address"?

If so then no. This is a single address field and the BB shows what the GAL gives it. If there can only be one address why do you care what the label is?
I was a BES and Exchange admin once.

This is what we did since the GAL did not contain enough info.

Add GAL list to contacts list

Somewhat off-topic, and I'm not sure of the laws where you are, but in Canada exposing home addresses and/or phone numbers to a plublic database like AD violates a number of privacy acts.
