Okay, I have to admit, I have neglected my BES in the past couple of months, so I have to catch up.

Has everyone, moved to ver 4.02?
is there an info thread on this new version,
also, what CDO are we on?

Also, what version of handheld code are we on?

Seriously, please don't tomato me!!!

- BES 4.0.2 on one server; BES 4.0.3 on the other
- CDO, at the highest compatible level, is currently at 6.5.7226.0 (Exchange 2003 SP1), although a newer version will be available after you install Exchange 2003 SP2 *
- There are a few threads on BES 4.0 SP2 on the forum

* Before even THINKING about upgrading to Exchange 2003 SP2, upgrade your BES to 4.0 SP3. This new SP3 for BES 4.0 will be available within the next 1-2 weeks from RIM.

- Handheld code for T-Mobile and Cingular is currently at 4.0.2.49 for the 7100 and 7290 series handhelds. Verizon is currently at 4.0.0.242 for the 7250; they will be on 4.1.x.x for the 7130e that is due out any day now. Sprint is currently at 4.0.0.239 for the 7250. Nextel is currently at 4.0.2.54 for the 7520 and 4.1.0.112 for the recently released 7100i.

jibi, youre the best, thanks. Our exchange will stay at 2000 for the moment. I dont know they are cheap. I'm pretty much at a stand still. Should I bump my BES to 4.02, since i'm still on Ex2000?

i have to admint, that I'm still at ser pack 1...i know its sad.

just read through the release notes on 4.0.2 and see if its needed. 4.0.3 will add needed support and administration functionality for the newer Bluetooth features that come with OS 4.1 and DM 4.1 (currently only available for the 7100i, although we should expect OS 4.1 for the 32MB devices before the end of the year or so).

Default Bes 4.0 Sp3

"* Before even THINKING about upgrading to Exchange 2003 SP2, upgrade your BES to 4.0 SP3. This new SP3 for BES 4.0 will be available within the next 1-2 weeks from RIM."

What happens if you have not not installed BES 4.0 SP3 and install Exchange 2003 SP2?

Then you run into the risk of having calendar synchronization issues.

Outlook 2003 SP2 (out now)/Exchange 2003 SP2 - BES Service Packs coming soon

A little bit more than just calendar sync issues. It will stop all communication to your BES... I have a client in that situation at the moment.
