Default Delete emails on BB but not taking affect on mailbox.

Please Login to Remove!

I already made sure the delete option on the Blackberry is set to mailbox & handheld. When this user deletes an email on the blackberry, the email still sits in inbox instead of deleted items folder. Why?

You also need to set "synchronize deleted items" in your account settings on your carrier's BIS page. Not all e-mail services allow this feature though.

Also, please update your profile to reflect a current BlackBerry model number so we can better assist you.

What happens the other way? If the user deletes off of the mail client, does it delete from the device?

Also, if the message is deleted off of the device, and then the user does a reconcile now, does the message still show in the mailbox?

I see. You didn't specify that in your original post.

Have you tried a battery pull? If yes, have you tried re-activating the user?

To avoid confusion, you should post BES related questions in the BES Admin Corner.

No, BES Admin Corner is for anything to do with BES server or handhelds (many handheld options or functionalities only activate on BES, not BIS)

jsconyers asks valid quesitons:

Also just to check, is the backend system Exchange?

Is the OL client in cached Exchange mode? I've had situations in the past where the local OST is agreeing with the server copy per se. After blowing away the local email profile and recreating a fresh OST all was good. Have had this happpen on more than one occasion and recreating the local email profile has always worked for me.
