I've been handed the responsibility for managing BES services at my organization. We are running extremely an extremely old version of BES (3.6.2.14) which adequately ties in to our Exchange 2003 infrastructure but I would like to update this to a current version as painlessly as possible.

I would prefer to install the new software over the old, is this a supported function? And if I have to bring up a new server, how do I migrate users to the new server with only one 20 user license key? I have a temperamental user base, so I'd like to make this transition as seemless as possible.

Any suggestions?

We've been paying for BES support all these years and are still current, I assume that I can use the downloads available there instead of having to pay for an upgrade, right?
