Default Issues after knife-edge cutover - BES 4.1.6.16

Please Login to Remove!

We recently required to move our BES in to a new VM enviroment. I completed a knife edge cutover and all seemed to be well.

Unfortunately there are some strange problems! There now seem to be two MDS servers registered although we dont use MDS so they are dissabled. Every day since the cut over two things happen: address lookup fails and message sending fails due to invalid address! This happens every day and seems to be resolved by restarting the BES.

To confuse matters, we are in the process of migrating from Exchange 5.5 to 2003. Myself and two other users are on 2003, the remaining are on 5.5. The BES has both the 5.5 admin and 2003 admin tools installed to enable the MAPI connections. All users can receive email fine, even during the lookup and send failures.

I cant really see any issues in the MAGT and SYNC logs, but i dont really know what im looking for!

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean MDS_CS (what you need to browse intranet sites from BBs, different from MDS Services)? If so, hHave a search, there was a thread a couple of weeks ago about mapping the MDS_CS correctly and removing the second entry.
