Default MSVS 2005 R2 and BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

So here's the situation. We have BES on a physical server, specs are
Intel Xeon CPU 3.40GHz w/ 2 GB Ram. Typical cpu load is about 3 - 8%. So we thought we'd have no problem virtualizing this server.

Our MSVS 2005 R2 server has two intel xeon dual core 3.4 Ghz with 16 GB ram. We have several virtual servers but none of them are processor intensive and there's plenty of resources left for the BES. We set the weights appropriately giving the BES priority. BES was given a dedicated processor and plenty of RAM.

We powered it up everything was fine except that the sqlserver.exe and BES sync services were hogging up the processor at 100%. We can't seem to figure it out. We did the math and it should work without a problem, but those two processes won't drop. Any thoughts?
