Default unable to open attachements

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

One of our users reported that she's not able to open any attachements on her blackberry 8820(previously she was able). she doesnt get the option to open them(copy and the rest appear there). we are running BES with Blackberry Mgr 4.1 on Win2003.Attacheemnts are standard:doc,xls,pdf.
In order to fix the issue we deleted attachement service 4.2.2 from her blackberry, and we got stuck: we couldn't find the correct setting on BES, nor the scrubbing and recreation of her account bring the service back...
Any idea?

If you deleted the attachment service from her BlackBerry you will need to re-install it via the OS for her device. That is, download the OS for her device to a PC (along with Desktop Manager), connect her BB to the PC, run Application Loader (within Desktop manager) and select the Attachment Service to reinstall it.
No longer a BES Admin, but it was fun while it lasted!

Fixed my problem, too. Client swears he/she wasn't messing with it. The attachment service just deleted itself. :-p

You know that happens.. Like password just enter themselves wrong 8 times to.
8830 -> 8330 -> 9550 -> 9650
Just think about how far BlackBerries have come from then till now... And what else is coming.
