Exclamation First BES express install issue's

Please Login to Remove!

We are having a issue with the install of our BES. When the installer gets to the point where it is creating the database in our SQL server it makes the database fine but the install then wants to upgrade the database. It starts and then wham an error comes up that it was unable to upgrade it. In the logs it appears the installer is trying to modify tables that don't exist? I don't have access to the logs or the error message. So hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about or has seen it before lol. Thanks in advance!

You have to run the CreateDB exe file on the SQL server first.

Extract the installation files for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version that you are using to a folder location.
Copy the Database folder from the extracted folder location to the Microsoft SQL Server.
Open a command prompt and navigate to the Database folder.
From the command prompt, type createdb besmgmt.cfg.
Confirm that the account with which you are logged into the Microsoft SQL Server has access to the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
Restore the backup of the BlackBerry Configuration Database that you made in step 1.
Continue the installation.

When it starts the activation this pops up in my outlook:

Triple checked, We are use SBS08 if that means anything?
SBS is just doing the Exchange stuff.
We are using a seprate SQL server.
BES is installed on a 2003 server.

Do I need to redo the install as Besadmin or just create a Besadmin and log into the BES sever as such?

read the documentation, then ask questions. the besadmin account needs to have rights to the exchange server and info store.

I went through the install guide that was sent with the BES express it's diffrent, no reason to be like that. And they don't state you have to use BESadmin.

In the documentation I got it just states to create an adminitrator account to manage the BES. And assign the approprite permissions. No note or ! that if you don't use BESadmin you will jack up the server trying to wirelessly activate phones.

FIXED! The name of the account did not matter. The server wasn't generating any logs once we got that fixed we could troubleshoot better. The permission's didn't take right. Once we fixed that I wiped the handheld then generated a new password and it worked. Thanks for the help.
