Hi All,

So, this weekend we completed the upgrade from 4.1.4 to 4.1.6 MR4. Everything seemed to go OK but I've noticed a HUGE number of errors in the event log, most of these seem to have settled down now but the ones which concerns me the most are:

WARNING: [ODBCRecord::DeleteRecord] No rows found to delete. SQL = "DELETE FROM SyncDeviceMgmt WHERE UserConfigID = ? AND TableID = ? AND GUID = ?".

and plenty of these mentioning a missing record?:

[SYNC-SSession] Device responded DATABASE_NOT_FOUND against USE command. No record for this database will be synced. [aUsername:896, SID=9283000301, DS=DevMgmt, DB=Time Zones]

and a few:

[ODBCRecord::DeleteRecord] DATA = "UserConfigID[857] TableID[0] GUID[55487745252] ".

(note that i've replaced all the GUID's and ID's in errors above with random numbers since I'm guessing these are just identifiers to handhelds/users, if you need the numbers let me know)

Any ideas? Would really appreciate some advice on this one.

Did you run handheldcleanup yet? If not, I would do that first.

I have run handheld cleanup, returned no errors and the output looks normal (with a -u)

I'm a bit stumped! The database itself looks fine, I restored a pre backup copy and aside from a few schema changes things look ok!

So you are using a pre-backup db and still get the errors? Is it multiple users and if so are they working fine? Are there any commonalities like they haven't had the latest service book etc?

I too get lots of these and looking at the SyncDeviceMgmt Table, I have no entries that match 'TableID[0]'.

Are you using Software Configurations to deploy software from BES to the devices? This service makes use a lot of the SyncDeviceMgmt table. If so check on the Software Config Status tab, if there are any unfinished software deployments.

No, we don't have any Software Configurations at the moment but good thought.

Stu, just to confirm we are still using the post upgrade DB. What I meant was that i'd looked in the pre upgrade DB and there are now rows in that table.

We've never used software configs, which is odd.

How can I tell if there are BB's that are still waiting for new service books? Given how long ago we ran the upgrade I can't believe that they've not recieved a new SB by now.
