Default Need BES Admin Guru's Remote Assistance

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I've been thrown into the deep end of a single-user BES 4.1.4 (Bundle 25) and Exchange Server 2003 system. I fully understand Exchange very well, but have light experience with BES.

After their phone being replaced with the same model (old one broke), the user is complaining that Internet on the phone doesn't work and their BB Messenger list is gone.

Might anyone be interested in earning some extra dough by reviewing the existing BES config and giving me an overview of BES, all conveniently over the phone and in a remote session?

Also would like a hand with ensuring I'm following the right steps tomorrow morning when re-replacing the user's Verizon 8330 phone.

Looking for responses today, pls.

Thanks!

BlackBerry Messenger contacts are not store on BES. If you have a backup from the old unit you can restore them. For the internet issue you have to call the carrier. They may need to send a new service book.

You have to also make sure that the account is enabled for MDS and Collaboration services.

I believe with a 4.5 or higher device OS and newer BES - it DOES actually sync BB messenger contacts
